Texas gets the burden of being the third most sinful state which should make people of all religions shudder.

According to Wallet Hub, each of the 50 states has its own vice that makes it not so perfect.

For example, New Mexico has the worst drug problem, and of course, Nevada has the most people with a gambling addiction, which helped them become the #1 most sinful state.

How did Texas rank among the seven deadly sins? Texas ranked #1 in lust, #6 in vanity, #12 in jealousy, #24 in laziness, #29 in greed, #30 in anger, and #37 in excesses.

Here is how the top 10 goes:

  1. Nevada
  2. California
  3. Texas
  4. Florida
  5. Louisiana
  6. Tennessee
  7. Pennsylvania
  8. Georgia
  9. South Carolina
  10. Illinois

So how about the bottom of the list or the least sinful states? Here is how the Top 10 goody two shoes states look:

  1. Idaho
  2. Wyoming
  3. Vermont
  4. South Dakota
  5. Iowa
  6. New Hampshire
  7. Minnesota
  8. North Dakota
  9. Utah
  10. Nebraska

So if you want to live in Idaho you can get away from all the sins in Texas, but if you are like me, I will keep myself in check and try to stay as pure and sinless as I can...YEAH RIGHT!!

Wallet Hub compared the states across 47 key indicators of immoral or illicit behavior ranging from violent crimes per capita to excessive drinking to gambling disorders.

That makes it more shocking that Texas is in the top 3 since we do not have parimutuel betting in Texas, so we have to go to bordering states to bet on horses, play the slots, or bet on card games. Or we can just fly to Nevada where all of that makes it the #1 most sinful state.
