ExxonMobil has shifted its Baton Rouge facility to produce hand sanitizer across the country, and representatives donated almost 2,000 gallons to Permian Basin counties.

According to NewsWest 9, ExxonMobil representatives came to the area to donate 1,920 gallons of hand sanitizer to be distributed to hospitals, first responder, and emergency personnel across all the 13 counties in the Permian Basin.

The hand sanitizer was split up into 384 five-gallon containers and loaded on pallets so it could easily be split up between hospitals and other areas in the Permian Basin.

The Baton Rouge facility was repurposed during the downturn of the oil industry to help out with COVID-19 relief and will continue to produce hand sanitizer as long as the need is there during this pandemic.
