Experts Explain the Difference Between Fully Automatic and Semi-Automatic Weapons
With the recent shooting in Las Vegas this past weekend, the question that is on the minds of many is what is the difference between a semi-automatic and fully automatic weapon?
NewsWest 9 asked Tony Grijalva owner and manager of Family Armory and Indoor Gun Range, what the difference is.
He stated that a semi-automatic weapon will only shoot out one bullet every time you pull the trigger.
An automatic weapon will empty a magazine with one pull of the trigger.
Grijalva also said that when an owner of a fully automatic weapon dies, law enforcement will collect that weapon to make sure it doesn't end up in the wrong hands.
