Emmy Rossum has been targeted and harassed by anti-Semitic Donald Trump supporters, who spewed hateful, threatening rhetoric at the Jewish actress online.

Rossum — who was a vocal Hillary Clinton supporter throughout the presidential election — posted on Twitter last night (November 13) about the abuse, writing, "Trump supporters are sending me messages threatening to send me & my 'ilk' to the gas chambers & writing hashtags like '#sieghiel.' NOT OK.”

"Telling anyone to 'get ready for the trains' in reference to WWII is disgusting & offensive," she continued. "Reporting you to twitter is not enough. Back off."

Rossum then responded to users who accused her of lying about the tweets, providing a screenshot and naming one account in particular who repeatedly threatened the actress on Twitter.

"I would NEVER make something like this up. I couldn't," she wrote. "For those of you who are shaming me for bringing attention to it, go read his feed. This is 1 individual who targeted me. He since deleted the awful train pic. Why not check out the rest of his posts/likes @SpotEnemyBoats."

Rossum is not the first person to speak out against threatening behavior following the results of the U.S. election. There have been several reports of vicious attacks and hate crimes committed across the country following Trump's shocking win, prompting the president-elect — whose campaign was packed full of sexist, racist and xenophobic rhetoric — to publicly tell his supporters to “stop it.”

During a recent interview with 60 Minutes, interviewer Lesley Stahl asked if Trump was aware of the building violence and threats against minority groups around the country. The former reality star initially brushed Stahl's claims off, saying, “I think it's a very small amount."

It wasn't until Stahl pressed Trump further that he renounced the violence, saying via CBS, “I am so saddened to hear that. And I say, ‘Stop it.’ If it helps, I will say this, and I will say it right to the cameras: ‘Stop it.’"
