The ECSO could be patrolling the streets checking for seatbelts in TxDOT's "Click It or Ticket" campaign.

According to NewsWest 9, ECSO applied for the grant from TxDOT to allow deputies of the sheriff's office to patrol the streets to make sure drivers have their seatbelts on.

Sheriff Mike Griffis says that even though they may pull people over for not wearing a seatbelt, they will not always give out citations, they just want seatbelts to be the norm.
