Ector County Coliseum Prepares to Reopen With Capacity Restrictions

The Ector County Coliseum is looking to reopen soon but with guidelines set by the state for capacity restrictions.

According to NewsWest 9, June 13-14, 2020 is the next event scheduled to go on at the Ector County Coliseum and state guidelines for reopening will be enforced.

“We're going to use the guidance from the CDC, use six foot distancing, limiting on the capacity, and just additional precautions," said Coliseum Director Aaron Martin.

Additional guidelines like staggering people coming in and out to avoid overcrowding and keep the 25% capacity restrictions intact, ordering tickets online, and six foot social distancing guidelines set by the CDC.

Martin says they have a bunch of events coming up this summer which are planning to go as scheduled with the above requirements being enforced.

Events that were postponed during the spring, the Coliseum is hoping to have them rescheduled for the fall.
