DPS Decides Against Closing Some Area West Texas Drivers License Offices

Positive news for residents around some West Texas drivers license offices that were on the closing list, they are not on the closing list anymore.

According to NewsWest 9, the Sunset Commissioner declined recommendation for more that 87 drivers license offices across the state.

Offices in the West Texas area that were in jeopardy of closing included Andrews, Big Lake, Crane, Iraan, Kermit, Monahans, Presidio, Seminole, Stanton and Van Horn.

Residents in those areas can breathe a sigh of relief that they will not have to travel possibly hundreds of miles anymore to renew their drivers license.
