Dakota Johnson and Coldplay’s Chris Martin Are Consciously Coupled

It seems the months-long rumors about Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin were true.

On Thursday (May 10), Johnson's mother, actress Melanie Griffith, let the cat out of the bag, admitting (more or less) that her daughter is indeed dating the Coldplay musician.

During the Global Gift Foundation USA Women’s Empowerment Luncheon yesterday, People magazine asked Griffith what she thought of Johnson's relationship with Martin, to which she enthusiastically replied, "I adore him!"

Griffith quickly recovered, though, adding, "But she is very private about her life, and I respect that."

Earlier this year, the publication reported that the 50 Shades of Grey star and the musician were in a relationship after the two had been spotting out and about on various date nights, including a romantic sushi dinner back in October.

In March 2014, Martin famously "consciously uncoupled" from his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he was married to for ten years and shares two children: daughter Apple, 13, and son Moses, 12. Their divorce was finalized in July 2016.
