Cinergy Cinemas & Entertainment to Reopen Friday

Phase two of the reopening of Texas kicks into effect tomorrow (May 8, 2020) which allows Cinergy Cinema to open.

To ensure every precaution, Cinergy has also planned pragmatic operational adjustments. Some examples of our safety measures include plexiglass barriers to reduce contact between team members and guests. Maintaining the 6 ft. physical distancing is critical; therefore, we are placing floor signage and capacity constraints in the auditoriums. Our team will continue to adhere to the stringent cleaning and sanitizing protocols by extending cleaning times between showtimes for additional sanitizing of auditoriums with added focus on cleaning tables, cup holders and seats.

Cinergy will also waive online ticketing fees to encourage online and mobile ticketing purchases, reducing team member to guest contact. Additionally, to reduce additional guest touchpoints, Cinergy will not accept cash during the first phase of reopening.

Guests can expect to see the new release of Valley Girl this Friday, along with movie hits like Trolls World Tour, Sonic the Hedgehog, Bad Boys for Life, Jumanji, Bloodshot, Invisible Man and I Still Believe. For complete details regarding the re-opening strategy, please visit here.

We will make certain that our restrooms are clean and in good repair. Restrooms will be checked every 15 minutes, cleaned, and sanitized.

We’ve extended time in between showtimes to allow for deeper cleaning of all auditoriums. We will continue to wipe down chair surfaces, as well as cup holders, swivel tables, and clean between the seats using EPA approved cleaning products.

High-contact surfaces (door handles, countertops, faucets, railings, etc.) will be wiped down with medical-grade sanitizing agents at a minimum of once every 30 minutes.

Detail cleaning will occur overnight and again checked before opening. All surfaces will be cleaned using EPA approved cleaning products and viral resistant sanitizers followed by inspection.

Floor decals will be used and placed 6 ft. apart to designate where people should stand and wait in line at our reception, redemption counter, concession stand, attractions, or anywhere people generally line up. Virtual queue lines will be used at our attractions to discourage line building and guests will be paged (text messaged) when it is their turn to participate.

In an effort to reduce touchpoints, mobile purchases are encouraged and online ticketing fees waived. Movie ticket purchases are available to Cinergy Elite members and can be purchased for $4, plus applicable tax.

In an effort to reduce contact, self-serve candy and drinks will be suspended and will be provided by the staff.

Free refills will be suspended, but drinks will be available at a reduced price.

In an effort to reduce contact with food and increase the safety of guests and staff, only limited menu items will be available.

Disposable paper menus will be provided. Guests can also access the menu online by scanning QR code.

To ensure social distancing, automatic two-seat spacing between groups to create a minimum of 6 ft. on either side has been implemented. Every other row will be skipped.

Groups of 2 or more from the same household may sit together.

Auditorium maximum occupancy limited to 25% capacity.
