Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Canceled in Midland

City of Midland has canceled the Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony.

According to NewsWest 9, even though Christmas events have been canceled, there will still be a tree lighting at Centennial Plaza, but there will be no public ceremony connected to it.

The tree will be put up and lit on December 1, 2020 but there will be no crowded ceremony, the tree will be available to enjoy and take photos with and around, they are just opting out of a public gathering.
