Chance the Rapper won Best New Artist at the 2017 Grammy Awards tonight (Feb. 12).

The 23-year-old rapper and songwriter beat out a pool of fresh, rising talent which also included Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Maren Morris, and Anderson .Paak.

Chance the Rapper (aka Chancelor Johnathan Bennett) also took home the awards for Best Rap Performance for the track "No Problem," and Best Rap Album for "Coloring Book." He also received nominations in the categories of Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance.

Hosted by James Corden, the 59th annual Grammy Awards ceremony took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 12, broadcast live on CBS. The 2017 Grammy Awards nominees were announced on December 6, with a tribute performance to Prince.
