For those who cannot get out to get the COVID-19 vaccine, Casa de Amigos is going door-to-door to make sure everyone who wants a vaccine can get vaccinated.

According to NewsWest 9, for those who cannot get out of the house to get the COVID-19 vaccine, the vaccine can be delivered right to them at their house thanks to Casa de Amigos.

"We help the people in our community from health and wellness, senior services, adult and youth education services," said Erin Barnes, Outreach Manager for Casa de Amigos.

They team up with other organizations, like the fire department and hospital, to make sure vaccines can be done in the homes of those who cannot get out to get vaccinated.

"The Midland community health team which is the fire department and Midland Memorial Hospital have partnered with us," Barnes said.

The crew of Casa de Amigos, Midland Fire Department, and Midland Memorial Hospital have given out over 500 vaccines to the homebound and others in need of home inoculation as of March 24, 2021.

Casa de Amigos still has openings for their first dose drive-thru clinic on April 6, 2021, if you want to get registered for the drive-thru clinic, call 432-682-9701.

Casa de Amigos has already administered second doses to the community and will continue to do so after the April 6, 2021 first dose drive-thru vaccination clinic.
