
Boy Gets Flesh Eating Bacteria From Swimming in Lake Sam Rayburn
Lake Sam Rayburn is located in East Texas near Lufkin.
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the three year old boy was diagnosed with the flesh eating staph infection after a late July trip with his family.
The boy had red spots that quickly turned to bleeding sores.
Flesh eating staph is a skin infection that spread quickly across the body destroying tissue as it spreads.
The boy is still being treated but the infection is under control.
