You know Edgar Wright and you know his awesome new car-chase musical, Baby Driver. But did you know that Wright actually used the basic concept of a getaway driver rocking out to music before? It’s true; in 2003, Wright directed a video for Mint Royale’s “Blue Song” that looks an awful lot like Baby Driver. Wright even gave the video a cameo in the new film. That’s just one of the facts featured in the latest installment of You Think You Know Movies!

The idea for Baby Driver is even older than that, though; Wright first conceived the premise all the way back in 1994! He held onto the film for many years until he was sure he could make it properly; in 2012, he held a table read of the script. All of the actors playing the various roles were different than the ones in the final film, except one: Jon Hamm played Buddy at the table read, and then five years later he played the character in the film.
