‘A Wrinkle in Time’ to be Adapted for Film by Disney [VIDEO]
Disney had previously created the film for Disney DVD and Home video in 2003. If you're not familiar with the novel, it was written in 1962 by Madeleine L'Engle who went on to win the Newbery Award for it in 1963. The award is given to the author of "the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children."
The story is centered around Meg Murray and her family. Her father has gone missing, with her brother, friend, and super natural women, Meg travels through space and time to find him.
'A Wrinkle in Time,' is actually the beginning of a series written by L'Engle known as the 'Time Quintet:' A Wind in the Door' (1973), 'Many Waters' (1986), 'A Swiftly Tilting Planet' (1978), and 'An Acceptable Time' (1989.)
I first discovered the book in elementary school, and read it for the first time in 7th grade. I now own it on audio book, and have listened to it multiple times. It's a joy to experience and invites you to think, and use your imagination.
