The USGS recorded a 5.0 magnitude earthquake in West Texas.

According to NewsWest 9, the earthquake was centered near Mentone and happened around 10 am this morning (March 26, 2020).

The earthquake was reportedly felt as far away as Midland and McCamey.

This is the largest quake that has happened recently and only the third 5.0 earthquake to happen in Texas history.

The quake was reportedly at a depth of 5 km.
