2018 American Music Awards Moved to New Night
The 2018 American Music Awards are still months away, but the annual ceremony finally has an air date — and it's much different from award shows past.
The fan-voted music award show, which has historically aired on Sunday nights in November for the past few years, will air instead on Tuesday, October 9 this fall at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
As usual, the show—which honors artists and music achievements across all genres—will feature performances from some of the industry's biggest stars, though no performers have been announced yet.
Last year, the AMAs were graced by Pink, who scaled the side of the 34-floor JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles while performing "Beautiful Trauma."
Superstar South Korean group BTS also performed their hit "DNA" at the 2017 AMAs, making their U.S. television performance debut.
Other performers included Lady Gaga, Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez, Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato.
