If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent a significant amount of your leisure time contemplating the secret sex lives of the X-Men. The movies haven’t exactly shied away from the raging hormones at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters — Cyclops and Jean Grey are the all-American class couple, Rogue got crushed by crushes on Iceman and Pyro — but you know there was some business gettin’ taken care of behind the scenes. How could there not be? All those skintight leather uniforms, the flow of adrenaline from constant life-or-death situations, Hugh Jackman’s gorgeous muttonchops ... I’m sorry, what were we talking about?

The point is, Halle Berry apparently spends as much time wondering which X-Men are bumping parts as you or me. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress and part-time weather goddess Storm reveals that her character in the X-movies had a little undepicted fling with the most dangerous Canadian alive, Wolverine: “Storm and Logan used to be lovers. It’s true. Storm and Logan had a thing.”

“I joke in the movies,” she continued. “I’m like, ‘How come nobody’s loving on Storm?’ Like what’s wrong with Storm? Nobody is checking for Storm. So, we decided that Storm and Logan had a thing, and then Jean came and messed that up.” There’s a bit more textual support for this than your usual after-the-fact character revelation, too. (If Dumbledore was gay, J.K. Rowling, then he’d have been gay.) The EW item notes a deleted scene from the recent Days of Future Past film in which Logan and Storm share a passionate lip-lock before going off to save the world from the menace of, uh, timeline consistency. Plus, the comics paired the two mutants on multiple occasions, even giving them a child together in one alternate reality.

Now it’s time for the rest of the cast to ’fess up on who their characters were doin’ it with. How real did things get between Colossus and Shadowcat? Were those glances between Magneto and Xavier just glances? Has Mystique ever slept with someone under the guise of another persona without their knowledge? And what are the ethical implications thereof? The people deserve to know.
