Why Was KODM Off The Air Wednesday?

Wednesday was like coming in from a great weekend and finding a bunch of raccoons have thrown a party in your IT Department.

Electricity is a wonderful thing; we make our food, we make music and we make our day go faster by listening to the radio. Electricity is also dangerous; not enough and things don't work; too much and there's that smell of burning circuit boards. Yesterday was a combination of both.

Several electrical events have reeked havoc with our equipment, so much so that we had scheduled maintenance on our transmitter. Feeling left out, our servers decided they wanted attention too.

Without going into to much detail, let me suffice to say that yesterday was a day of harsh words spoken at electronic things.
