So just what the heck is a Texas Woofus, anyway?

Well, It looks like this.

It's found at the State Fair of Texas. Originally commissioned for the Texas Centennial Celebration in 1936, the original was damaged and removed in 1941, according to Atlas Obscura.

It was then lost. Some think that Christians who felt the statue was too pagan destroyed it. Regardless, it didn't return to the State Fair of Texas until it was commissioned by the Friends of Fair Park in 1998. The current installment was created by David Newton.

The statue represents the primary livestock found in Texas. You'll see the mane and neck of a horse, a turkey tail, pig body, duck wings, a sheep’s head, and of course, a pair of Texas longhorns.

Here's another angle.

Yes, it's also a fountain.
