TxDOT is looking for submissions for the new "Don't Mess With Texas" campaign.

According to NewsWest 9, the submission is a new song for the most popular campaign in America to prevent littering, the Don't Mess With Texas ads have become popular worldwide thanks to artists like Willie Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, George Strait, and LeAnn Rimes singing about keeping Texas clean and litter free.

This year the campaign is looking for amateurs to do the singing and to come up with a new song to use.

The requirements are to be a resident of Texas and over 18 and to submit an original song that incorporates their anti-litter message.

They will select both and English and Spanish winner that will be decided through a public vote.

The winner will also be featured in a television spot and will get to perform at an iHeart Radio station music lounge plus they will win a 2018 Gibson guitar.

The contest runs till October 10 and you can enter and get more information on the contest website.
