Today Begins Six Month Project to Rebuild Highway 349 at I-20

Today (June 5) begins a six month long construction project to rebuild State Highway 349 at Interstate 20.

According to YourBasin.com, the project will take about 6 months to complete and will help to improve the three mile area starting at I-20 south to County Road 140.

Traffic will be down to one lane on the service roads of the interstate starting today.

The frontage roads will be improved along with the pavement down Hwy 349 south of the interstate.

The project is expected to cost around $3.7 million and should be completed by the end of December 2017.
