Actor Tim Daly reportedly broke both of his legs in a skiing accident while attending Sundance, prompting Madam Secretary producers to consider rewriting part of the show's season to accommodate his injury.

Daly — who portrays Dr. Henry McCord, the husband of the Secretary of State (played by his real-life girlfriend, Tea Leoni) on the CBS show — will reportedly undergo surgery today (January 25) and will need anywhere from six to eight weeks to recover, according to a report from Variety.

The former Wings actor’s injury is allegedly not life-threatening and won't halt production on the show, though Madam Secretary writers are still discussing how to navigate the accident and whether a script revision is necessary this far along in production. Variety further reports the show may opt to shoot around Daly's injury, though he is still expected to appear in every episode of the show’s current Season 3.
