Does the state of American politics in 2016 have you feeling like you're in a horror movie? Does the ridiculousness of it all seem more like one of Tim Burton's dark comedies rather than reality? Danny Elfman feels you, people.

The famed movie composer, who has famously provided the music and soundtracks for films including The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice and Spider-Man, has teamed up with the folks at Funny or Die on a video called "Danny Elfman's Trump Stalks Hillary," which combines footage from the political opponents' early October debate with the kind of campy, creepy music score only Elfman can deliver.

Watch below:

The chuckle-inducing clip comes in response to the noticeably bizarre onstage behavior Donald Trump exhibited during his October 9 debate with Hillary Clinton. During the town hall event, the GOP presidential candidate seemed to loom over and follow his democratic opponent around the stage like a wild predator hunting its prey.

Clinton reacted to Trump's strange display during her October 14 interview on The Ellen Show, where she told host Ellen DeGeneres, "I could just feel this presence behind me, and I thought, ‘Whoah, this is really weird!’...It was clear that my opponent, Donald Trump, was going to try to dominate the space...and then literally stalk me around the stage!"
