The Weeknd is dating a teenager, everybody!

The 25-year-old singer and his girlfriend Bella Hadid (sister to model and Taylor Swift BFF Gigi Hadid) stepped out together in New York City while holding hands last night (September 8), all but verbally confirming their long-rumored relationship.

E! News first linked the two earlier this year, when they were reportedly seen flirting at Coachella Music Festival (Bella turned 18 in October of last year). An insider told E! that “They have many things in common and really enjoyed each other’s company. She loves his music as well. They are hanging out for sure now.”

As to whether or not The Weeknd is in love with his girlfriend, who knows. He sure doesn’t seem to! An interviewer for the New York Times asked him in a recent profile piece whether he was in love with her or not, and he delivered an insanely unsatisfying answer. He said, “I don’t know, to be honest with you. I don’t think so. Maybe. It’s no, it’s yes, it’s maybe.”

Do you feel some type of way about this pairing? It's not exclusive to Hollywood, but do you find the ever-pervasive trend of older men dating barely-legal women at all disconcerting? Do you think there's a difference between The Weeknd and Bella Hadid and Kylie Jenner and Tyga? What about Bella Thorne and Gregg Sulkin, who are 17 and 23, respectively? How about 18-year-old Lorde and her 25-year-old boyfriend, James Lowe (the two started dating when she was 16)?  Are we insane for finding these relationships unsavory at best, and straight-up predatory at worst? Or do you think we're totally overreacting? Let us know in the comments.
