The High Tech ‘Laser Shot’ System Is Becoming The Big Thing In Live and Virtual Firearms Training
With the high cost of ammo - if you can even find it these days - it’s tough to get in much range time. With the Laser Shot training system, you can train just about anywhere, anytime with realistic simulations.
This is not your Dad’s ‘Duck Hunt’ game, but it does work on a similar principles. I was given the choice of shooting with an Airsoft, or laser equipped replica of a firearm.
The Airsoft was more realistic, some of these also have a blowback design that simulates slide motion. The infrared sensor picks up the slightest temperature variation and registers that as a hit. Another major advantage over regular dry fire training is that the Laser Shot system provides immediate feedback as to shot placement. The system can be used in simulated or live fire exercises and you can even use it to refine your bow hunting skills.
The software gives you a variety of simulations to choose from like, video game mode all the way up to clearing a house of bad guys.
Another plus to the system is that you can film your own scenarios and add them to the system’s library, designating hit zones, bad guys and ‘no-shoots’.
For over 10 years Laser Shot’s hunting simulator systems have been installed in commercial venues and homes worldwide. The system uses the latest in laser hit detection technology to provide an accurate and realistic hunting simulation experience. The Laser Shot system is versatile and can be setup in almost any environment where both artificial and natural lighting can be controlled. A variety of software, accessories, and hardware components are offered to tailor systems to each individual client’s needs.

This advanced training does not come cheap, but right now, neither does ammo.
