The Destination of Our Sam Smith Jetaway is Just as Good as The Show! – [PHOTOS]

We're sending one lucky winner and a guest to see Sam Smith in concert, but we're also sending that winner to one of our favorite places to visit, San Diego!

If you have ever been to San Diego, you know it is one of the most beautiful communities in California and in the US; and if you win, that's where you're headed!

It's one of Maureen's and my favorite places to visit. We were there a little over a year ago meeting up with family and friends.

We rented a two story house near the ocean and spent 4 days just relaxing and recharging. It was done in all white, furniture, walls, bedding...everything! We kept the windows open 24/7 since the breeze coming off the ocean kept the temperature very mild. At night, we took light jackets but it was never uncomfortable.

Besides the concert, you may choose to visit the San Diego Zoo.  Besides the obvious walking tour, you can enjoy one of several shows. The one we attended allowed us to get up close and very personal with the animals, including this chetah.

Being this close to the animal was great, though I got the feeling that she was watching us as closely as we were watching her; sizing up the heard, looking for the weakest among us.

There are enclosures for large animals as well, including: Elephants, rhinos, giraffes and the great apes.

Of course, there were warnings not to get to close to the male lions!

Plan on temperatures at the zoo to be a little warmer. Take sunscreen, a hat or cap and drink plenty of water while you are there.

Maureen's favorites though, had to be the pandas!

Of course, no trip would be complete with out a wonderful dinner out. Saturday night, we headed out toThe Cracked Crab (751 Price St Pismo Beach). This is quite possibly one of the finest seafood restaurants i've had the opportunity of visiting. Make sure you put it on your itinerary!

Finally, when I visit San Diego I must always visit Coronado Island.

Coronado consists of five main regions: Bayside & the Ferry Landing, Historic Downtown, Beaches, Glorietta Bay, Silver Strand.
