Just when you thought FOX's 'Gotham' and NBC's 'Constantine' had upped the DC quotient on TV significantly from The CW's 'Arrow' and potential 'Flash' spinoff, the Warner Bros.-owned network has picked up another costumed DC hero. Sources report that The CW had begun development of 'Hourman,' based on the DC comic character of the same name, but who's behind the latest superhero drama?

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Caleo ('Ironside,' 'The Sopranos') will pen the pilot script and executive produce the drama with Dan Lin and Lin Pictures for Warner Bros. TV. For those not well versed in the character (and why would you be?), 'Hourman' follows Rex Tyler, a "brilliant-yet-troubled" pharmaceutical analyst who realizes that the tragic visions that have burdened him since childhood actually occur one hour in the future.

Hoping to win back his ex-wife and son, Rex dons a costume to prevent said tragedies from occurring, "finding both purpose and redemption along the way." The character was created in the 1940s, appearing in several DC titles, but darn it all if we don't expect The CW will find a means to ditch the cape, and re-imagine the hero as a sexy crime-fighting hunk.

The project remains in the development phase for the moment, but what say you? Would you want to see 'Hourman' join 'Arrow' and 'The Flash' in the realm of live-action superhero TV?
