Netflix will only wear The Crown in its current form for another season, so we’d better enjoy it while we can. A first full trailer for Claire Foy and Matt Smith’s final turn as Queen Elizabeth II and Duke Philip is upon us, and it only has eyes for you.

Ahead of its December 8 premiere, The Crown dropped a first full trailer for the Emmy-winner’s second season. Season 2 marks the last for the show’s current cast, before Broadchurch favorite Olivia Colman takes over from Claire Foy to showcase a later period of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

The new season will feature John Lithgow’s Dexter nemesis Michael C. Hall as JFK, along with Quarry star Jodi Balfour as Jackie Kennedy, and Watchmen and Downton Abbey star Matthew Goode as Antony Armstrong-Jones, or Lord Snowdon, society photographer married to Princess Margaret (Vanessa Kirby). Here’s the Season 2 synopsis:

Beginning with soldiers in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces fighting an illegal war in Egypt, and ending with the downfall of her third Prime Minister, Harold Macmillan after a devastating scandal, the second season bears witness to the end of the age of deference, and ushers in the revolutionary era of the 1960s.

We’ll see if The Crown Season 2 lives up to the first, but stay tuned for more on the December 8 premiere in the meantime.
