Texas Mattress Store Closes After Offensive 9/11 Commercial
A mattress store in San Antonio is still under fire for an offensive commercial that aired last week for a 9/11 sale on mattresses.
According to YourBasin.com, Miracle Mattress in San Antonio came under fire last week for a commercial they aired for a mattress sale in which two mattresses were stood up next to each other and then allowed to collapse while the owner says "We will never forget."
The video has made the rounds on social media and has now caused the "indefiinite" closing of the store.
Here is the official statement from the owner Mike Bonanno:
"Effective immediately, our Miracle Mattress store will be closed indefinitely. We will be silent through the 9/11 Anniversary to avoid any further distractions from a day of recognition and remembrance for the victims and their families. We take full responsibility for our actions and sincerely regret the hurt and pain caused by this disrespectful advertising campaign."
