According to NewsWest 9, you will not be able to drive if you are behind on child support payments.

Texas has put restrictions on renewing vehicle registration until child support payments are current, and since September the state of Texas has seen a significant increase in child support payments.

If you are behind on child support you will get a notice 90 days before your vehicle registration expires reminding you to get caught up or to make payment arrangements.

To make payment arrangements you can call the Attorney General's Office at (866) 646-5611.
