On the surface, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood seem to get along pretty well – but a deeper look reveals that the two blond country sensations aren’t exactly BFFs. Does that mean we should brace ourselves for some hair-pulling drama at this year’s Grammy Awards?

“I’m not close to her,” remarked Underwood about Swift in a recent interview with Allure magazine. “We run into each other at events. We’re never in the same place at the same time.”

Us Weekly reports that one of Swift’s so-called pals made the following statement: “Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steers clear of her.” However, there might be a reason for this: perhaps Swift is still bitter about the sarcastic jabs that Underwood and Brad Paisley made about her love life – and her music – while hosting the CMA Awards last November.

A source also told Us Weekly that “Grammy execs were ordered to keep the two ‘from crossing paths’ at the February 10 show ‘since they hate each other!’”

Both singers’ reps have yet to lend this story any weight; in fact, they maintain that the rumors are “100 percent untrue.” Still, we’ll be on the lookout for cat fights on the red carpet this weekend!
