I had a revelation last night as I was indulging in a snack. Why don't the foods we loved as kids taste the same? What have they done to our favorite foods?
few months ago I told you about the peanut butter and jelly brisket sandwich at Tall City Meat Market, which I know many of you tried and loved. Tall City Meat has done it again with one crazy unique menu item,
I came across a Wall Street Journal article recently that talked about inflation and how the prices of dang near everything are going up due to inflation. No big surprise to anyone, we have been seeing it with our own eyes as of late. It is especially tough for small businesses right now, specifically restaurants. The pandemic 2 years ago really threw things off course, with supply-chain shortages
I am telling you right now in the late 90's early 2000's this girl was all about a Mexican pizza. It was not unusual for me to get at the very least, one a week. It was an addiction I had with Taco Bell. Then all of a sudden, I can't remember exactly why I stopped but it was like I quit cold turkey. Maybe I burned myself out? Who knows?
When it comes to barbecue, Texans don't play. Many weekends during the summer, specifically this past Memorial Day weekend, it is not unusual for dad to fire up the grill. It is a big deal to get invited to someone's home who can really slay on the grill, on the weekend of a cookout. Family, friends and neighborhood cookouts are cool but these days let me tell you where I've been getting some bomb
Why am I like this? I walked into work to start a brand new work week, breakfast in tow and as I am eating said breakfast, browsing the internet as one does, I come upon an article that the very thing I am eating has been recalled. Oopsie! Mind you, I eat this particular item on a regular basis, so far so good JS.
I noticed that our neighbors up north are getting a new brunch place and I got to thinking...that is something, in my opinion, we don't have enough of. Lubbock is getting a Snooze an A.M. Eatery and I am here for it! Anytime I go to San Antonio, which is often, my family knows we are eating Snooze breakfast almost every morning we are there. Did you see the picture of my food? Enough said.

Let me start by saying my track record is not too shabby, I do feel I was instrumental in bringing Chuy's to the 432. I manifested it. lol I've been saying for years I wish Chuy's would come to either Midland or Odessa and boom it will be open in Midland off of loop 250 in about a month or so. So I'm going to give this a shot.
