Sweethearts Candy Will Be Missing From This Year’s Valentine’s Day

The maker of Sweethearts candy went bankrupt last year so this year there may be knockoffs available but the original Sweethearts candy will be missing.

According to NewsWest 9, the candy may be gone this year but never fear, the original Sweethearts candy will return next year ready for Valentine's Day but this year you will have to deal with the knockoffs.

NECCO, the candy company that produced Sweethearts candy for the past 100 years, went bankrupt last year and Spangler Candy Co. took over NECCO back in September 2018 but didn't have time to prepare Sweethearts for the 2019 Valentine's Day season.

You can find Sweethearts candy online but those will be from last year's batch so eat at your own risk.
