A stuntman named Carlos Lopez, who worked on productions such as 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' and 'The Vampire Diaries,' died in an accident while on vacation in Portugal. His death was confirmed by the managing director of North Carolina Stuntmen's Association.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Lopez was vacationing in Lisbon, and at 4AM Thursday morning, was trying to perform a parkour jump from his fourth-floor window to a balcony at the Goodnight Hostel. When Lopez missed his jump, his girlfriend called the police.

Lopez trained with the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and subsequently moved to New Orleans and then New York to pursue his career in stunt work.

Other productions Lopez has done include '22 Jump Street,' the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot and 'Olympus Has Fallen.'

We send our condolences to his family and friends at this time.
