Sorry Comic-Con; it’s all about Star Wars Celebration this year. The biggest event in the galaxy far, far away is only days away and ScreenCrush will be there to bring you all the latest news and updates from the three-day event.

Star Wars Celebration Europe, which returns to London for the second time this weekend, is sure to be full of major reveals and surprises. The event brings together fans, cast members, filmmakers, and more for panels, special events, screenings, and tons of Star Wars-themed activities, including life-size droid workshops and an appearance by Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.

Last year’s Star Wars Celebration Anaheim dropped a new trailer for The Force Awakens and reunited the cast on stage, and this year it’s all about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Fans who can’t make it to London this year, don’t worry; just follow ScreenCrush on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat (our handle’s “screencrush”), and like us on Facebook to keep up to date with all things Star Wars and Star Wars Celebration.

So what can you expect from the mega fan event? Here’s everything we’re looking forward to seeing and everything we hope to see at this year’s Star Wars Celebration Europe:

A New Rogue One Trailer

There’s about to be another awakening. We haven’t seen a Rogue One trailer since the first one dropped in April, but a new look at the film is coming in just a couple days. A new trailer for the first stand-alone Star Wars film is expected to air this Friday at 8PM on ABC alongside an hour-long special, Secrets of The Force Awakens, according to Making Star Wars. But we’ll probably have already seen the trailer before then. Like last year’s Celebration debut of the new Force Awakens trailer, this year’s event will likely reveal the new trailer for the Gareth Edwards film during the Rogue One panel at Celebration Europe. The panel, which will feature Edwards and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, takes place at 11AM on the East Coast and will be live streamed online. If the trailer does drop them, expect it to arrive online shortly after, and then clear your schedule to watch it on loop the rest of the day.

More Insight on Those Rogue One Reshoots

So, what’s up with all the Rogue One reshoots? With both Edwards and Kennedy on stage at the movie’s panel, one expects they’ll at least address the issue. While initial reports claimed Disney ordered reshoots to “lighten the mood“ of the film, Edwards and Kennedy both later insisted the film will still be dark with no changes to the story or tone. According to some reports, the reshoots should be wrapped by the time Celebration kicks off, so this weekend would be the perfect opportunity for Lucasfilm to quell any worries over possible alterations to the film.

Details on Episode VIII and the Untitled Han Solo Movie

Everyone is hyped about Rogue One, but there’s plenty more to look forward to in the future of the galaxy. The “Future Filmmakers Discussion“ panel, which will close out Celebration on Sunday, July 17, is described as a “must-see” event, and I can only guess Disney has a ton of surprises in store. Pablo Hidalgo, Creative Executive of Lucasfilm’s Story Group, will host the panel featuring Kennedy, Star Wars producer Kiri Hart, Episode VIII writer and director Rian Johnson, and the Han Solo spinoff directing duo, Chris Miller and Phil Lord. The details on this panel are minimal, but let’s speculate.

It’s possible Johnson will unveil the official Episode VIII subtitle, maybe with the official logo. It’s probably too early to expect a teaser from the movie, but we could get some new behind-the-scenes footage of Mark Hamill (who will be a guest at Celebration) or find out what’s so secretive about Daisy Ridley’s hair.

As far as the still-untitled Han Solo movie, we might learn some new casting details. Principal photography doesn’t start on the film until next January, so don’t expect any footage. But if we’re lucky, Aldan Ehrenreich, who will play the young Han, will make a surprise appearance.

Release Date for Episode 9

This is definitely wishful thinking, but maybe Lucasfilm will surprise fans with a 2019 release date for Colin Trevorrow’s Episode IX or perhaps officially announce one of those rumored Star Wars spinoffs. The Future Filmmakers panel is about the future of the movie franchise after all, so why not dream big?

Discussion on a Gay Star Wars Character

While we’re talking about wishful thinking, Celebration Europe would be a fantastic opportunity for Kennedy, Johnson, Lord and Miller, and all other Star Wars filmmakers and producers to address J.J. Abrams’ recent comments about an eventual gay character in the galaxy far, far away. Earlier this year when the Force Awakens director was asked whether he could see a gay character in the future of the franchise he responded, “Of course!” Mark Hamill recently responded to comments about Luke’s sexuality, saying that he’s whatever the audience interprets him to be. Whether or not Star Wars will actually get its first queer character soon, it would be refreshing to hear Lucasfilm address the need for LGBTQ diversity across the franchise at the event.

Stories From Mark Hamill

Celebration Europe will kick off on Friday with Mark Hamill’s hour-long panel answering fan questions and telling stories from his work on the films. Maybe he can tell us a story about whatever he’s doing on that meditation rock in the leaked Episode VIII footage.

Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Premiere

The new season of Star Wars Rebels will premiere on DisneyXD on July 16, but the first two episodes of Season 3 will screen exclusively at Celebration Europe. Executive producer Simon Kinberg and special guests will debut the episode on Saturday, while Supervising Director Dave Filoni will appear at the show’s press conference panel on Sunday. But what we see in the new season of Rebels won’t just be relevant to the previous Star Wars movies. Kinberg recently told Moviefone that characters introduced in Season 3 might even appear in the upcoming Star Wars films.

Star Wars Video Game Announcements

This year, Star Wars Celebration also includes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Star Wars: Commander, and a panel featuring the creators behind the Star Wars Battlefront, Galaxy of Heroes, and The Old Republic games. Could we also get a look at some upcoming games? Anything’s possible.

How Star Wars Creatures Came to Life

If you’ve wondered how Maz Kanata, BB-8, and Supreme Leader Snoke were brought to life for The Force Awakens, Creative Supervisor Neal Scanlan will soon reveal all the ins and outs of his work. At the “Creatures, Droids & Aliens of Star Wars: The Force Awakens“ panel, Scanlan will showcase how he and his team designed, sculpted, and animated the creatures behind the J.J. Abrams film. The panel will also include a live demo of a Star Wars character from the creature shop.

DIY Droid and Lightsaber Building

Fans who attend Star Wars Celebration Europe can learn how to build a life-size R2-D2 droid, take an introduction to advanced droid building lesson (and on a budget!), make their own Mandalorian armor, and if that’s not enough, they can also build a lightsaber.

An Appearance by Anthony Daniels

Force Awakens C3PO

It’s crazy to think one man has played the same iconic robot for four decades. Anthony Daniels, best known as the man behind (or should I say, inside of) C-3PO, will host a panel on Saturday at Celebration Europe.

Star Wars Tattoos

You’re not a true Star Wars fan unless you get a tattoo of Chewie’s face on your bicep, right? Celebration will feature a live Star Wars tattooing pavilion, which is exactly what it sounds like. Make sure to follow us on Snapchat to see all the cool ink fans get.
