Remember last week when I told you that I couldn't understand how people could say there's nothing to do here? Remember that? And I mentioned that my wife and I stay too busy for words? I think we may have overdone it a little.
This past Sunday, my wife and I got to Sam's Club around 10:30 AM to buy groceries for the Summer Mummers kickoff party. We got to the Yucca Theater around 12:30. Prepared for the party until it started at 3:00. Did the party. Then did a few hours of auditions for Summer Mummers 2015. Got home around 10:30 at night.
Monday - We both worked, I did the radio show...you know, the usual. Went straight from there to the second night of Summer Mummers auditions. Left the Yucca at 9:00 PM and had a few people over for pizza and beer. Went to bed at 1:30 AM.
Tuesday - Woke up at 6:00 AM. Work/radio for wife/me. Straight to the third night of Summer Mummers auditions. Fingers are crossed that sleep happens before midnight.
Wednesday - Work/radio for wife/me. Straight to a meeting to adjust the script for Summer Mummers.
Thursday - Work/radio for wife/me. Rehearsal for our final performance of "Greater Tuna." Normally, we wouldn't rehearse after we already opened, but it's been three weeks since we've done the show, and we're doing it on a new stage. Have to readjust.
Friday - Travel to Colorado City to perform "Greater Tuna." More details in my next blog.
Saturday - Spend a bit more time out of town for other performance opportunities. That sounds sketchy, because it is. Can't talk about it.
Sunday - Travel back to Midland for the first company meeting for Summer Mummers (assuming we are cast).
Monday-Thursday - Work/radio for wife/me. Immediately to Summer Mummers rehearsal (assuming we are cast).
Friday-Sunday - Travel to Fort Davis to watch our friends get married in the mountains.
Monday-Thursday - Work/radio for wife/me. Immediately to Summer Mummers rehearsal (assuming we are cast).
Friday - A NIGHT OFF!
Saturday - Shoot a short film for a competition.
Sunday - Sleep. Until we schedule something else that prevents that.
On top of all of that, there are still two video projects to do, podcasts to record, and normal life stuff. Like eating. And showering. And breathing.
I'm not complaining. Just proving a point. Or re-proving a point. There is always stuff to do. You just have to find it.
