Selena Gomez has been tight-lipped about her somewhat recent split with Justin Bieber. As the gossip world wonders about her "Are they or aren't they?" status as one-half of the biggest teen pop couple of the decade, she hasn't given us much to go on.

She does mention it, vaguely, in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar, on which she is the cover star, parading around in an array of beautiful, couture clothes.

Gomez talks about the two-year romance being under the media's microscope, since both she and the Biebs are famous, although his fame far eclipses hers.

"It was, but that’s not a factor for me because unfortunately you can’t control that," the singer/actress commented about the press and its obsession with their every move. "To me, love is normal. Of course, you see Jay-Z and Beyoncé and you’re like, 'Oh, my gosh, they’re perfect for each other,' but at the end of the day their love is just like everybody else’s love."

We thinks she means that their love is imperfect and real, and experiences hardships.

"They have problems, I’m sure, and they solve them, like anybody else," Gomez mused. "So to make it as normal as possible — in such an abnormal lifestyle — was super important to both of us. Which was great. That’s how it should be."

Notice she speaks in past tense there. She doesn't confirm they are completely dunzo, but she doesn't really intimate if they are still together, either. Well-played and way to keep us guessing, Sel.
