Rihanna's finally confirmed plans to release new music.

On Friday, the recording artist-makeup mogul revealed to a fan that she plans to put out a new project in 2019. Rihanna, 30, posted a photo promoting her Fenty Beauty line, which prompted questions from fans about new music.

"But when is the album dropping Robyn?" a fan wrote, prompting Rihanna to reply, "2019."

Her announcement comes not long after Kuk Harrell, the music producer who worked with Rihanna on "Umbrella" and "Only Girl (in the World)," said he'd heard at least some of her upcoming album. He revealed during an Instagram Live that the album is "incredible."

"R9 is great. R9 is amazing. It's incredible. And that's all I'm going to say," he shared.

Rihanna first revealed she was working on an album in September, replying to a fan on Instagram yet again. She claimed she was trying to find time to work on it in between all the other things she currently has going on.

"I'm doing music. Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy," she said at the time. "When music is ready, you won't have to ask for it. But it's coming. Just not today sis. I'm hype too tho, it can't come soon enough for me."

Over the summer, reports surfaced that Rihanna was working on not one, but two albums. One was said to be a danehall album while the second was thought to be pop.

The album will be the first the musician's released since 2016 when she put out Anti. The album was nominated for a Grammy.
