Protesters Fill Texas Capitol Building While Scuffle Breaks Out Among State Representatives

Protests and a scuffle in the Texas Capitol took place during the latest session of the Texas House.

According to ABC News, a scuffle broke out in the Texas State House after Republican State Representative Matt Renaldi told house Democrats he had called ICE on several protesters that held up signs saying "I am illegal and here to stay."

Democratic Texas Representative Cesar Blanco said the scuffle incited "hate and racism."

Rep. Renaldi is currently under protection of the Texas Department of Public Safety following the incident.
