Here is a list of some new construction possibly coming soon in the city of Midland.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the first thing coming to Midland is a new apartment complex to be built on Briarwood and Holiday Hill Rd.

The plan calls for a 21 building complex with 360 apartments, 625 parking places, and 100 garages set to open in March 2019.

Commissioners also approved the construction of a fourth Rosa's Cafe location on Rankin Hwy at Gist Ave. and also approved an alcohol permit for the sale of alcoholic beverages at that location. No specific opening date was mentioned as the Bobby Cox Company is still preparing the parking lot and building pad.

Commissioners also approved a zone change for the east side of Midland at Elkins Rd. and East County Road 72 from agricultural estates to office district.

Approval was also granted for a zone change from Future Development to Planned District at Briarwood and Avalon for the development of a shopping center. The land owner said there were no plans in place yet for a shopping center but he asked for the zone change to promote development in that area.
