Ah, the 2000s: Life was simpler back then... or, rather, we had The Simple Life to keep us entertained. For five seasons aired between 2003 and 2007, socialites-turned-reality TV stars and real-life besties Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie captivated us with their flippant, fish-out-of-water hijinks as they were thrust from Beverly Hills into blue-collar life.

Similar to other landmark reality TV shows of the 2000s, like Jersey Shore, Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Osbournes, The Simple Life became a pop culture phenomenon, launching Hilton and Richie—as well as their friendship—into the mainstream eye.

In 2005, however, the two starlets had a falling out, resulting in a mid-third season cancellation of their show. Though they would subsequently reconcile for two more seasons, rumors continued to swirl that the the previously inseparable pair's relationship had been irreversibly damaged, and their appearances together continued to dwindle.

Though the two hinted that they've been back on good terms in recent years, Hilton and Richie finally publicly reunited at the Daily Front Row Awards on Sunday (April 8), sparking rumors of a possible Simple Life reboot and giving longtime fans all the feels over the former party girls' rekindled camaraderie.
