I know I’m probably going to catch a lot of heat over this next article. After all, West Texas is ‘football country’, but don’t you think this blown call in the Seahawks - Packers game on Monday night is getting taken just a little too seriously? Yes, football is the national pastime and the season is just getting started, passions are running high, but everybody from the guy on the street all the way up to the President has commented on this call.

I figure it’s kind of like life; bad things happen, move on. Isn’t that what we teach our kids? Sometimes you get a bad call in life, it’s not the end of the world. Aren’t there plenty of other things to worry about: China about to attack Japan, the economy, continuing trouble in the Middle East, a shortage of bacon in the coming months! It’s just a game. We have wasted a teachable moment for our children, showing pettiness instead of character. Alright, let the hating begin.
