Yesterday was the first day of early voting in Texas, and Ector County voters came out in droves.

According to NewsWest 9, Ector County is ready to get this election over with and the numbers show it.

More than three thousand voters showed up on the first day of early voting, 3,316 to be exact.

Remember the new ID requirements to vote, you must have one of the following forms of ID to the voting location:

  • Texas drivers license
  • Texas election ID certificate
  • License to carry
  • Military ID with photo
  • U.S. citizenship certificate with photo
  • Passport
