Nicki Minaj surprised fans over the Labor Day weekend with a surprise track titled "The Pinkprint Freestyle," which she released on Soundcloud on Sept. 4.

"Hmmmm...should I?" she wrote on Twitter before finally dropping the track one hour later.

"The Pinkprint Freestyle" runs at nearly six minutes in length and begins with a shoutout to Lil Wayne for "for signing a lil chick from Queens, New York City."

She then goes into freestyle slay mode with such lyrics (courtesy of Genius) as, "Young ma, it's the female Jay / I'm a brand accordin' to what retail say / Yeah my tours be sellin' out on presale day / Plus I got the title queen stream, press replay."

Minaj later name checks Harambe (the late Cincinnati Zoo gorilla who was killed for grabbing a child), saying, "I'm draggin' these hoes like Harambe did the kid / Shut the club down, it was poppin' then we slid."

The "Starships" singer even incorporates a bit of M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" into the track when she references some of the lyrics from the popular 2008 track. "I fly like paper, I get high like planes / If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name," she raps before proclaiming "M.I.A., M.I.A., I make b------ go M.I.A."

Outside of music, Minaj is currently hard at work developing a new television comedy series for Freeform based on her life growing up in Queens. The show, titled Nicki, is expected to debut in 2016 and will feature Ariana Neal playing a young Nicki.
