The President of Midland-Odessa Transportation Alliance (MOTRAN) spoke yesterday at the Petroleum Museum and gave updates on upcoming projects in the works.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, James Beauchamp discussed several future projects in the works for the Midland/Odessa area.

One is a DPS 'Mega Center' which will merge the Midland and Odessa offices meaning the new facility will have more lines than the two current offices combined. The new merged office will be located somewhere between the two cities.

Another project is planning for a second interstate highway to go from Midland to the Louisiana border passing through Killeen. The Interstate 14 Gulf Coast Strategic Highway Coalition is interested in converting State Highway 158 and U.S. Highway 87 from Midland to Brady into the plan for the proposed interstate to the Louisiana border.

Check out the proposal below and tell us what you think in the comments.
