Midland Traffic Alert: Project to Improve 2 Ramps on I-20 To Start Next Week

TxDOT is planning to reconfigure the ramps at State Hwy 158 and FM 715 beginning next Monday.

According to NewsWest 9, the project will change the ramp locations, make a deceleration lane, and add turn lanes to make getting off the interstate and on to State Hwy 158 and FM 715 a lot easier.

Northbound FM 715 will also get a right turn lane with the project as well.

Speed limits in the work zone will be lowered to 55 MPH and law enforcement will be patrolling the area heavily in an effort to remind drivers to drive safe in work zones.

Drivers in the habit of taking this route are strongly encouraged to find an alternative route as the project will be going on till late July or August of 2019.
