Midland Toys ‘R’ Us Remains Open Despite Closing of 182 Locations

Toys 'R' Us announced in September of 2017 that it would be closing locations after a declaration of bankruptcy, but the Midland location is not on the list of the early 2018 closures.

According to NewsWest 9, lawyers for the toy store chain say that closing the stores is due to increased market competition and the growing popularity of online retailers.

Texas locations that are on the closing list are mostly in the Dallas and Houston metro areas.
