Midland School District Aiming to Become a District of Innovation

M.I.S.D. is setting it's sights on becoming a district of innovation.

According to NewsWest 9, Patrick Jones is the Chief Academic Officer of M.I.S.D. and is getting the school district ready to become a innovative district in Texas.

Becoming a district of innovation creates new plans that they feel are best for the community and they are allowed leeway in doing any changes they see fit.

Changes could range from when school starts to adjusting class sizes.

The district has to have an acceptable academic performance rating to become a district of innovation.
