Driving conditions were hazardous around West Texas as dense fog began to develop earlier this morning.

The National Weather Service said:

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHEAST
NEW MEXICO PLAINS...AS WELL AS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PORTIONS OF
THE PERMIAN BASIN THROUGH MID MORNING WHERE VISIBILITY WILL DROP
TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES. AREAS OF FOG ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE TRANS PECOS...ADDING TO THE
HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING.

Please drive carefully this morning, watching high-speed intersections. Drive with you headlight beams on low.
